Terms of Service

Welcome to Tujunga Village Mailboxes & More. By using our website or renting any of our mailbox services, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our services.

1. Services Offered

We provide personal and business mailbox rentals and mail receiving services. Our services include:

  • Personal and business mailbox rentals
  • Mail receiving and forwarding services
  • Package acceptance from major carriers
  • Mail notification services

All users must comply with USPS Form 1583 requirements and provide valid government-issued identification before mailbox activation. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who cannot provide proper identification.

2. Payments & Fees

All payments must be made in advance for the selected rental term (6 or 12 months). Our fee structure includes:

  • Monthly, 6-month, or 12-month rental periods
  • Late renewal fees may apply
  • Additional fees for oversized packages or high-volume deliveries
  • Reactivation fees for suspended accounts

Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. Returned checks will incur a $25 processing fee.

3. Mail Handling

We will accept mail and packages from USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, and other major carriers on your behalf. Our mail handling policies include:

  • Daily mail sorting and organization
  • Package acceptance and secure storage
  • Mail forwarding services (additional fees apply)
  • Mail scanning services (premium feature)

Oversized packages or high-volume deliveries may incur additional storage fees. Unclaimed mail may be returned to sender after 30 days. We are not responsible for mail that arrives damaged or with missing contents.

Important: We do not accept packages containing hazardous materials, illegal substances, or items that violate local, state, or federal laws.

4. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate service without refund in the following circumstances:

  • Use of mailbox for unlawful purposes
  • Violation of local, state, or federal laws
  • Non-payment of fees
  • Harassment of staff or other customers
  • Failure to provide proper identification

Upon termination, you must collect all remaining mail within 30 days. Unclaimed mail will be returned to sender or disposed of according to USPS regulations.

5. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited as follows:

  • We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged mail/packages once in our possession
  • We do not insure or guarantee any delivery
  • We are not liable for delays caused by carriers or third parties
  • Maximum liability is limited to the amount paid for one month of service

Users waive all claims against us for incidental or consequential damages. We recommend purchasing additional insurance for valuable items.

6. Privacy & Security

We are committed to protecting your privacy and the security of your mail:

  • All mail is handled confidentially
  • Access to mailboxes is restricted to authorized personnel
  • Security cameras monitor our facility
  • We do not share customer information with third parties

However, we may be required to disclose information in response to legal requests or court orders.

7. Modifications

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

We will notify customers of significant changes via email or posted notice at our facility.
